The Department of Studies and Planning at the University of Mosul Presidency holds a workshop on the Times Sustainable Development Index

 

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the direct supervision of the Assistant Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jassim, the Department of Studies and Planning at the University of Mosul Presidency held a specialized workshop entitled:

“Times Classification for Sustainable Development: Concepts and Challenges”
on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

The workshop aimed at highlighting the mechanisms and criteria of the Times Impact Rankings, which measures the extent of universities’ commitment to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as the QS Sustainable Development Rankings, and comparing the most important differences between the two rankings.

The workshop witnessed a distinguished attendance represented by assistant deans of the colleges and officials of the divisions of studies and planning, media and government communication in the colleges, where the attendees showed fruitful interaction in discussing the challenges and issues facing the sustainable development units in the colleges and ways to address them in line with the university’s aspirations to rise in the global rankings.

This workshop comes as part of a series of scientific events organized by the Department of Studies and Planning under the supervision of Prof. Muthanna Sobhi Suleiman, Director of the Department of Studies and Planning at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, in support of the university’s efforts to achieve institutional excellence and enhance its academic position globally.
