The University of Mosul has achieved a new presence in the Times University Impact Rankings 2025, ranking in the 1001-1500 category at the global level, reflecting the university’s continuous endeavor to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the areas of education, scientific research, institutional governance, and community engagement.

The ranking is an important international indicator that measures the performance of universities based on their contribution to achieving development goals, not just on academic reputation.

This achievement comes within a series of successes achieved by Iraqi universities, as 88 Iraqi universities participated in this year’s impact ranking, a clear indication of the development of higher education in Iraq.

The university presidency appreciates this positive step, stressing its commitment to continue developing the university environment in a way that contributes to enhancing the university’s position locally and globally, and achieving the goals of sustainable development on the ground.
