The College of Agriculture and Forestry at the University of Mosul held a workshop entitled (The Impact of Nanoplastics on Humans – Scientific Evidence and Future Vision) on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

It was attended by a number of affiliates, in which a lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Alaa Shamil Al-Alaf and Dr. Safwan Luqman Shihab.

The lecture dealt with recognizing plastic materials and their varieties and knowing their impact on human health and the environment, as well as spreading health awareness about the damage and danger of plastic pollutants and the appropriate solutions to get rid of them. In addition to recognizing the causes and characteristics of plastic pollution and its damage to public health and the correct and non-polluting uses. The lecture recommended minimizing the use of plastic-coated products and adhering to the most important methods and standards in the production of plastic materials
