As part of the follow-up to the implementation of the quality assurance standards of the Bologna Path quality assurance system, members of the Bologna Path Quality Assurance Council at the University of Mosul conducted a field visit to the College of Engineering on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, to review the mechanisms for applying the fifth criterion for calculating the academic performance index for faculty members.

The visit aimed to assess the college’s commitment to implementing the instructions of the Bologna Pathway Quality Assurance Council, and to determine the level of integration of data related to academic performance, in line with the standards adopted in the national quality assurance portal.

The visit included meetings with the college’s quality subcommittee, direct meetings with a number of faculty members and administrative staff of the college’s departments, as well as reviewing documentary evidence and statistical data on academic performance, and discussing challenges and proposed developmental measures.

The importance of this step comes in promoting a culture of self-assessment based on accurate criteria, and achieving high levels of quality in the educational process within the framework of the Bologna Process.
