The University of Mosul, with an academic vision … diagnoses the features of extremism and develops ways to address it The Department of Student Activities at the University of Mosul holds a scientific symposium entitled “The Scourge of Extremism between the features of diagnosis and ways to address … an academic vision”.

 

In the presence of Professor Dr. Rafal Hassan Hamed, Assistant to the President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and members of the Central Committee for Combating Extremism at the University, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

It was also attended by a group of Mosul’s sheikhs, scholars, professors and students.

Dr. Zakir Muhammad Saeed, Imam and preacher of Al-Nuri Grand Mosque, addressed four axes, the research of Dr. Zakir Muhammad Saeed, imam and preacher of Al-Nuri Grand Mosque, in the legal axis,
, and in the psychological axis, the research of Professor Dr. Nazim Shaker Al-Wattar, while Dr. Muhammad Hazem Shait, assistant dean of the College of Islamic Sciences for administrative affairs, spoke about the intellectual aspect, and the social aspect was present in the research of Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Hamadi Rajab.

This symposium is part of the University of Mosul’s efforts to combat the scourge of extremism and encourage the discourse of moderation in order to create a safe and cohesive society that enjoys stability and tranquility.
