In order to promote research activity and disseminate specialized scientific knowledge, the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering issued today, Tuesday, July 1, 2025, the first volume, the second issue of the Oil and Mining Journal.

It is a peer-reviewed scientific journal concerned with publishing research and studies in the fields of petroleum engineering, mining engineering, geology, and energy.

This issue comes as a continuation of the efforts of the University of Mosul and the college in supporting scientific research and providing an academic platform for researchers and those interested in oil and mining affairs.

The issue includes a group of scientific research papers on various topics that serve the oil and mining sectors and contribute to the development of engineering knowledge in Iraq and the region.

The management of the journal and the college called on academics and researchers inside and outside Iraq to contribute to the upcoming issues by sending their research and studies, emphasizing its commitment to sober academic standards and rigorous scientific arbitration to enhance the status of the journal as a reliable knowledge source.
