Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, met on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, with the Central Committee for Scientific Promotions at the University Presidency, in the presence of the Chairman of the Committee, Prof. Dr. Akram Mahmoud Al-Bado, as part of the follow-up of academic work and enhancing the efficiency of the scientific promotion system.

The meeting discussed the mechanism of working with the electronic system for scientific promotions, including the steps of uploading promotion transactions and auditing them by the central committee in coordination with the sub-committees in the colleges, with the aim of facilitating procedures and ensuring accuracy and speed in accomplishing them.

The adoption of this system comes within the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research towards digital transformation and the development of administrative and technical infrastructure in Iraqi universities to keep pace with developments in the field of e-governance and enhance the quality of academic performance.
