As part of the efforts to restore the Central Library to be a scientific and cultural reference as before, Prof.Dr.Waheed Mahmood Al-ibrahimi the President of the University received on Monday,7 July,2025 the Assistant prof.Dr. Mowaffaq Sacht Sameer the director of International and Arabian organizations Department at the directorate of Scholarships and releations in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the head of the ministerial committee assigns to restore the Central Library.

This project is implemented by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) with the support of the Italian Agency for Development and Development.

The President of the University accompanied them in a field tour to inspect the actual progress in this great project, the committee informed and directed the need to complete it within international standards and provide its success requirements to come back as a scientific and cultural reference serves the researchers and students according to modern specifications enhance the search, shorten time, and achieving the goal of learning.

The committee praised the efforts and the following up of the university to this vital project and it emphasized on the system of the Ministry to complete this project according to the plans and programs allocated to it.
