Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, receives H.E. Engineer Saad Amin Al-Jubouri, Chairman of the Reconstruction Fund for Affected Areas, and Mr. Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil, Governor of Nineveh, and takes them on an inspection tour of a number of university buildings.

Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, received on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Engineer Saad Amin Al-Jubouri, Chairman of the Fund for the Reconstruction of Affected Areas, and Mr. Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil, Governor of Nineveh.

Where there was a tour of a number of university facilities and buildings, including the university stadium, in preparation for making the necessary amendments to it, which includes replacing its floor to be within international specifications and standards, and increasing the number of stands to accommodate larger numbers of spectators, and with the support of the reconstruction fund, to be the official stadium for the matches of Mosul Club within the competitions of the Iraq Stars Professional League.

The tour also included a visit to the University’s Great Theater to view and the stages of its reconstruction.

There was also a visit to the Computer Department at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, and Prof. Dr. Duha Bashir, Dean of the College, received them and accompanied them on a tour of the department to introduce and brief them on the stages of its rehabilitation and its outputs.
The President of the Reconstruction Fund and the Governor of Nineveh expressed their support for the university’s efforts to reconstruct and rehabilitate the damaged buildings and infrastructure.
