Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, welcomed Mr. Omar Ahmed Al-Obaidi, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Nineveh Governorate Affairs, to his official office on Monday, July 28, 2025.

The Rector warmly welcomed the guest and expressed his appreciation for the visit. The meeting focused on exploring ways to advance key sectors of life in the city and mobilize collaborative efforts to benefit from the scientific expertise of the University of Mosul in the reconstruction process and developmental projects across the province.

Mr. Omar Ahmed Al-Obaidi expressed his delight in making his first visit to his university after assuming his new position, affirming his commitment to keeping the university at the forefront and providing all possible support.

“The University of Mosul is proud that one of its former students is now a senior advisor”, the University President stated in conclusion — a sentiment that reflects the university’s pride in its distinguished alumni.
