On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, chaired an expanded meeting with the Director of the Development Bank in Mosul to discuss the possibility of opening a branch of the bank at the University of Mosul.

Dr. Rafal Hassan Hamid, Assistant President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Mr. Al-Arqam Muhammad Saeed, Director of the Financial and Administrative Department at the University Presidency attended the meeting .

Discussions and deliberations took place regarding the location and the need for it to be close to the university so that citizens outside the university and affiliates can also benefit from its services.

The meeting also discussed loans for the purchase of electric cars, housing loans for university employees, as well as loans for students enrolled in private government education.

The meeting addressed the possibility of installing a charger for electric cars within the university and providing ATMs, in the event that an agreement is reached between the two sides.
