The University of Mosul, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, expressed its sincere appreciation for the prominent role played by Mr. Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil, Governor of Nineveh, in his continued support of the university. This was demonstrated through his success in securing the approval of the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, to allocate funds for the rehabilitation of the university stadium stands and the replacement of artificial turf with natural grass.

These efforts will pave the way for the stadium to serve as the official home ground of Mosul Football Club in the national league.

The university affirms that this step represents genuine support for its infrastructure and reflects a strong commitment to enhancing the sports and health environment on campus, which will positively impact students and various university activities.
