As part of its efforts to establish a modern institutional identity that reflects its academic standing, the University of Mosul has adopted a plan to unify the logos of its colleges and research centers within a cohesive visual identity framework.

The first meeting of the Logo Redesign Committee was held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the College of Archaeology, chaired by its Dean, Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdul Karim, and attended by a distinguished group of faculty members specialized in artistic, historical, and academic fields.

The meeting discussed the work plan and timeline for reviewing the current logos and outlined mechanisms for redesigning them in line with the University’s unified visual identity, while highlighting the individuality of each college and the nature of its work. Tasks were assigned to committee members to begin analyzing the visual elements of the existing logos, paving the way for the unification and modernization process.
