The College of Education for Pure Sciences Organizes the 50th Course on Chemical Safety and Security

 

The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Mosul organized the 50th training course in the field of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) safety and security, held from September 1 to 4, 2025.

The course lectures were delivered by Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs. He covered the latest developments and procedures related to laboratory safety, as well as preventive measures against chemical, biological, and radiological hazards. Additionally, he discussed methods for handling waste and hazardous materials.

The course will continue with the participation of the College of Science, the College of Medicine, the College of Pharmacy, and the College of Engineering in the following days.

The aim of this course is to enhance the skills of academic, technical staff, and students, while instilling a safety culture in the academic work environment. This helps ensure the provision of a safe educational and research environment that meets global standards.

This course is in line with the University of Mosul’s efforts to support sustainable development programs and promote a safe and healthy university environment.
