On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, inaugurated the Educational Medicinal Herbarium at the College of Pharmacy. The event was attended by Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Rafal Hassan Hamid, Administrative Assistant to the University President, Assistant Professor Dr. Basel Khalaf, Head of the Academics Union in the Nineveh Branch, and Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Yasser Fakhri.

This project is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to develop a comprehensive educational environment that supports the practical aspect of students in the pharmaceutical and pharmacognosy fields. The herbarium provides a space for the cultivation and study of medicinal and aromatic plants, contributing to health and environmental support.

Moreover, the herbarium serves as a practical educational site designed to guide students and connect them with theoretical scientific concepts in the field of pharmacognosy, enhancing the educational outcomes and research in the pharmaceutical sciences.
