President of the University of Mosul Visits the Psychological Support Unit for Children with Autism

As part of the University of Mosul’s continuous commitment to serving the community and enhancing the environment for psychological and educational care, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, visited the Psychological Support Unit for Children with Autism and Hyperactivity at the university on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

During his tour, the university president was briefed on the latest tools and technologies being utilized by the unit, which is part of a collaborative research initiative with a Turkish university. Among the key innovations is an advanced device for early detection of autism using eye-tracking technology. Additionally, several development proposals were discussed, including the creation of a playroom, a dedicated garden, and a suitable waiting room for children, all aimed at providing a safe and supportive educational and psychological environment for them.

This visit underscores the University of Mosul’s role in supporting community and humanitarian initiatives that enhance the quality of services provided to children and their families, while reinforcing the principles of solidarity and sustainable care within the community.
