On Tuesday, 9 September, 2025, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, visited Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, a member of the State Administration and former Prime Minister, as part of efforts to strengthen communication with national figures and highlight the university’s role in supporting the state and community.
During the meeting, the university president showcased the key achievements of the University of Mosul in recent years, particularly its efforts in reconstruction after the liberation phase, and its leading role in scientific research. The university has made significant progress in global and regional rankings and has continued to activate partnerships with governmental institutions and international organizations to support sustainable development projects.
Dr. Al-Ibrahimi emphasized that the university remains a beacon of knowledge and resilience, continuing to work to develop its academic and research environment, contributing to providing Iraq with scientific competencies capable of keeping pace with global transformations.
