On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Rafal Hassan Hamed, Administrative Assistant to the President of the University, visited the Department of Earth and Petroleum Sciences at the College of Science, where she was received by the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Omar Ahmed Al-Badrani.

During the visit, Dr. Rafal congratulated the department staff on the occasion of renaming the department to the Department of Earth and Petroleum Sciences, praising this step as a reflection of the university’s orientation toward strengthening scientific specializations aligned with labor market needs. She also affirmed the university’s commitment to supporting continuous academic development across all its departments.

She further reviewed the workflow at the department’s museum, noting the university’s encouragement of field and practical activities for the department’s students, and its efforts to provide the necessary resources to enhance applied academic experiences and raise their scientific skills.
