On Sunday, 14 September, 2025, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, the president of the University, received Dr. Rabiee Yousif member of the Nineveh Provincial Council and media personality Mona Sami.
The two sides discussed the current preparations to hold a joint media conference between Media Department in the College of Arts and a number of media figures. The most prominent proposed topics for the conference were discussed, as well as its role in developing academic media work and shedding light on contemporary media issues.
Then, the Rector accompanied the guests in an introductory tour of the university’s facilities, including the printing house, library, theater, lake, and other facilities, he explained the reconstruction phases and its academic and cultural revival.
This visit as part of the university’s efforts to enhance its communication with the media and highlight its academic career and long history.
