On Monday, September 15, 2025, the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Commission of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research honored the University of Mosul during a meeting of the Directors of Student Activities Departments. Professor Dr. Abdul Malik Suleiman, Director of Student Activities at the University of Mosul, was awarded the Excellence Shield in recognition of the university’s outstanding efforts and active contribution to the success of the ministry’s university activity programs.

This recognition was based on the annual report submitted by the university, which included sports, scouting, artistic, and cultural activities, in addition to volunteer programs both within and outside the university. These activities highlighted the vitality and engagement of the students of the University of Mosul in various fields.
This achievement reflects the University of Mosul’s significant role in supporting student activities and enhancing its role in shaping students’ skills and developing their capabilities. It aligns with the ministry’s vision of building an aware and creative generation that contributes to serving the community.
