Confirming the University of Mosul commitment in supporting the prestigious scientific research and enhancing its international presence, Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheem Ibrahim Jasim, the Scientific Assistant of the University President, and the researcher Amani Ammar Talib, achieved a distinguish scientific achievement by publishing their research tilted “Comparative Performance of Asphalt Binders and Sulfur-Waste Mixes Containing SBS and ABS Polymers”.

The paper was published in the Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering, issued by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). This journal is indexed in Clarivate and Scopus and is ranked in the first quartile (Q1) according to the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), making it a leading publication with a significant global impact in the field of materials engineering and civil engineering.

This achievement reflects the high scientific level of the professors and researchers of Mosul University and enhance its position in the global rankings.
This in lines with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq towards support publication in globally reputable academic journals.
