Mosul University Organizes a Workshop on the Funded Scholarship From Melbourne, Australia

As part of its international academic cooperation and increasing the opportunities for scholarships and cultural exchange, the Scholarships and Cultural Exchange Departments\ Cultural Relationships Division at the Mosul University Presidency organized on Wednesday, 8 October, 2025, an introductory workshop entitled ” Funded Scholarship From Melbourne, Australia”. The workshop took place in the Dr. Farouk Al-Omari Hall at the College of Science.
The workshop presented by Lecturer Dr. Ali Natheer Abdul Baqi the Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Lecturer Dr. Mustafa Saham Abdul-Rahman, Head of the Cultural Relations Division, and Ms. Hind Sheet Hussein, Head of the Overseas Scholars Division, with the participation of Assistant Professor Dr. Zaid Mohammed Talal Abdul Salam, Dean Assistant of the College of Tourism Sciences for Scientific Affairs, who shared his academic experience while studying for his PhD in Australia, offering practical advice on both academic and daily life there. His insights aimed to assist those interested in applying for scholarships and international study programs.
The workshop aimed to identify the affiliates of the university with the mechanisms of applying to the fully funded international scholarships, reviewing the research and academic collaboration opportunities with Australian universities, particularly the University of Melbourne. This initiative supports the academic openness of the University of Mosul and broadens the horizons for international scientific and cultural exchange.
The workshop witnessed wide participation from university staff and individuals interested in study and training opportunities abroad. It involved discussions on developing the international relations and enhancing the participation of the faculty members and employees of the university in the global scholarships programs.
