On Sunday, 9 October, 2025, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, the president of Mosul University, chaired the 4th Session of University Council for the Academic Year 2025-2026 with the attendance of its all members.

The session reviewed the graduate admissions plan for next year and indicators of the capacity of colleges and academic departments, emphasizing the importance of achieving a balance between available resources and labor market needs to ensure the quality of academic outcomes.

The council also discussed the status of colleges regarding the completion of academic program descriptions and course descriptions, along with topics related to academic and administrative affairs and the development of the university environment.

At the conclusion of the session, the President of the University emphasized the importance of closely following up on the implementation of the recommendations and continuing efforts to enhance academic performance and strengthen the position of the University of Mosul in national and international rankings.
