On Monday, 13 October, 2025, Professor Wahid Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, inaugurated Dr. Raad Abdul-Jabbar Al-Bakouh Hall at the College of Pharmacy, in tribute to the late Professor Dr. Al-Bakouh, one of the university’s most prominent academic figures. This act commemorates his distinguished scientific and research contributions, which greatly benefited the university and the nation.

The opening ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jasim, the Scientific Assistant of the University President, the Dean of the College, and a number of faculty and staff members. This step reflects the University Presidency’s commitment to honoring its pioneers and scholars who have left a bright mark on its academic journey, as well as providing a modern and advanced educational environment for the College’s students.

On the sidelines of the event, the university president conducted an inspection tour of the College of Pharmacy’s laboratories, where he observed the modern equipment and ongoing construction and renovation works. He emphasized the importance of keeping pace with global advancements in laboratory equipment, which enhances scientific research, practical applications, and contributes to producing highly qualified pharmacy graduates with excellent scientific and professional competencies.
