University of Mosul Participates in the Second Iraq Conference on Higher Education 2025

 

Under the patronage and the attendance of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, on Saturday, 11 October, 2025, the second Iraq Conference for Higher Education 2025. It featured broad participation from the presidents of governmental and private universities, deans of colleges, researchers, and academics, as well as international experts and representatives from Times Higher Education, Clarivate, Elsevier, QS, and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.

The President of the Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, the president of Mosul University; Professor Dr. Abdul Raheem Jasim Ibrahim, the Assistant of the President for Scientific Affairs; Assistant Professor Dr. Rafal Hasan Hamed, Assistant President for Administrative Affairs; and a group of academics and researchers from various Iraqi universities.

In his speech, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research emphasized that Iraqi universities have begun a new phase of accomplishments and pioneering thanks to the qualitative transformation in the philosophy of university education in recent years, which has propelled them into the realm of international recognition and global rankings.

The conference aims to discuss the modernization of educational policies in light of the digital transformation and labor market requirements, explore mechanisms for developing curricula and graduate programs, and promote scientific research and innovation, supporting applied research that contributes to achieving sustainable development goals, thus enhancing employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in Iraq.
