University of Mosul Promotes Laboratory Safety Culture with Training Course for Graduate Students
As part of its commitment to instilling safety and security principles in the scientific research environment, the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized the 53rd course on Chemical, Biological, Nuclear, and Radiological Safety and Security. The course from October 20 to 23, 2025. The course targeted graduate students who had completed their preparatory year, providing them with the necessary foundations before embarking on the practical aspects of their research.
The course was presented by Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jasim, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, along with a group of specialized faculty members and department heads. They emphasized that adherence to safety and security standards in laboratories is a shared responsibility and an essential requirement to ensure the quality of scientific research and protect both lives and property.
This course is part of a series of annual training programs organized by the university, serving as a fundamental component of successful laboratory work and an important contributor to instilling a safety culture in academic institutions. It plays a crucial role in advancing the mission of Mosul University in serving science and society.
