On Sunday, 19 October, 2025, Nineveh Cultural Festival for Films and Fine Arts launched, which will last for three days with wide participation from artists and creators in the fields of cinema and fine arts.

The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdul Rahim Jasim Ibrahim, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, and Professor Dr. Hamed Al-Rashidi, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, along with a group of artists, visual artists, and specialists.

This festival celebrates the pioneer of cinema and fine arts, and reviving of Nineveh’s rich cultural heritage, reflecting its deep-rooted artistic and creative history that spans generations.
