Mosul University’s College of Education for Humanities Implements “We Draw a Smile” Initiative in Mosul Schools

University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Saad Ramadan Mohamed Al-Jubouri, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, and as part of its humanitarian and social activities, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Education for Humanities, in cooperation with the Human Rights Division at the University Presidency and the Sustainable Development Committee, organized a field visit on Thursday, October 23, 2025, to Al-Rasheed Primary School for Girls in the Sheikh Fathi area on the right side of Mosul city, as part of the “We Draw a Smile” initiative.
The initiative aimed to support the educational process and promote social solidarity values by distributing stationery and symbolic gifts to the female students, spreading joy and hope among them. This aligns with the university’s efforts to reinforce the concept of social responsibility and active participation in serving the educational environment in Nineveh Governorate.
The university delegation included Dr. Said Khudida Al-Sanjari, Head of the Human Rights Division at the University Presidency, Instructor Asmaa Khalid Jirjis, Liaison Officer for the Sustainable Development Committee, and Assistant Instructor Saba Salem Sheit, Head of the Human Rights Unit at the college, along with a group of esteemed staff members. The delegation expressed their appreciation for the educational staff’s efforts in caring for the students despite the difficult circumstances.
At the end of the visit, participants emphasized that Mosul University is committed to continuing its humanitarian and educational initiatives that embody its mission of building people and instilling values of mercy and giving. These efforts align with the goals of sustainable development and the university’s vision of serving the community and enhancing human and educational cohesion in Nineveh.
