Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and supervised by the Assistant of the President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jasim, the first session of the English Conversation Club (Let’s Talk) was launched on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and celebration. The session took place at the Central Library of the University of Mosul, under the direct supervision of the Department of Science and Technology Gardens at the university’s presidency.

The club, now in its fourth year, is one of the most prominent student volunteer initiatives at the university. It aims to provide a stimulating academic environment for University of Mosul students to develop their communication and conversation skills in English, enhancing their ability to integrate into the job market confidently and competently, without language barriers.

It is worth mentioning that the English Conversation Club earned third place at the national level in the 2025 Science Day Awards, within the category of voluntary and encouraging work organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in recognition of its outstanding role in supporting student skills and developing their linguistic and academic abilities.
