On Thursday, October 23, 2025, the University of Mosul Council held its fourth meeting for the academic year 2025–2026, chaired by Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University, with the full attendance of the council members.

The meeting began with the President’s emphasis on the importance of enhancing academic and administrative performance in line with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, contributing to the advancement of the university’s scientific and educational level.

The agenda included several important points, the most prominent of which were:

⦁ The issue of academic promotions, with an emphasis on the need to expedite the processing of faculty members’ cases in accordance with the applicable ministry regulations, ensuring they receive their deserved academic entitlements.

⦁ Discussing the scientific structure and the mechanisms for accrediting certificates and scientific specializations, aiming to enhance alignment between academic paths and institutional development requirements.

⦁ Reinforcing the importance of encouraging students to adhere to modesty and decorum in their university attire, as this reflects the university’s image and its academic prestige.

The council also discussed various other topics related to the progress of educational, research, and administrative processes, aiming to achieve the university’s goals and mission in creating a comprehensive academic environment.
