On Thursday, October 30, 2025, Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of Mosul University, received His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Fakkak Al-Badrani, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, in an official visit that reaffirmed the collaboration between the university and the ministry in preserving cultural heritage and enhancing the intellectual landscape.

His Excellency the Minister, accompanied by the University President, inaugurated the Digital Art Exhibition organized by the Art Unit of the Student Activities Department. The exhibition showcased the grandeur of Mesopotamian civilizations through a contemporary digital lens that integrates the latest artistic technologies. The event was attended by several university officials, college deans, faculty members, and students.

The visit also included a tour of the First International Book Exhibition, where the Minister reviewed the participating publishing houses and the exhibited works. He praised Mosul University’s efforts in revitalizing cultural activity and supporting reading and academic publishing initiatives.
