President of Mosul University Discusses Legal Solutions for Faculty Land Issues with Ministerial Committee

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of Mosul University, welcomed the ministerial committee appointed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to address the legal challenges and obstacles facing the land allocation file for the university’s employees’ association.
During the meeting, the committee discussed potential solutions to resolve issues affecting approximately 800 employees who have been allocated land, but face legal and administrative hurdles preventing the completion of ownership procedures.
The committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Bashar Jahem Ajami, Director of the Contracts and Staff Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Rafal Hasan Hamed, the Assistant of the President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Dr. Sahar Hiyal Ghanem, Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the University Presidency.
In his presentation, the university president provided a detailed overview of the stages and procedures for land allocation, including related legal and procedural matters. He emphasized the university’s commitment to fully cooperate with the ministry and relevant authorities to find fair legal solutions and practical resolutions that protect the employees’ rights while adhering to current regulations.
This step reflects Mosul University’s ongoing efforts to support its staff and overcome administrative and service-related challenges, reinforcing its role as an institution dedicated to creating a stable and integrated academic environment.
