Mosul University Participates in the 27th Conference on Archaeology and Cultural Heritage in the Arab World in Qatar

As part of its efforts to build bridges for scientific communication and strengthen international partnerships in the preservation and sustainability of heritage, Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdul Karim Mohammed Ali, Dean of the College of Archaeology at Mosul University, participated in the 27th Conference on Archaeology and Cultural Heritage in the Arab World, held in Qatar.
During the conference, Dr. Yasmin presented her scientific paper titled “The Role of Scientific Research in Heritage Sustainability Strategies,” which discussed the importance of academic research in developing policies and practices aimed at preserving Arab and regional cultural heritage. Her presentation also emphasized raising community awareness of the significance of heritage as a resource for sustainable development.
This participation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), underscoring Mosul University’s commitment to activating its academic specializations in protecting the heritage and cultural identity of Mosul and Iraq. It also reinforces the university’s academic presence in Arab and international forums.
