Mosul University Wins Third Place at the Iraqi Universities Visual Arts Festival

 

Under the patronage of Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the supervision of Dr. Salah Hadi Al-Fatlawi, Director of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, the University of Al-Kitab hosted the University Visual Arts Festival, with wide participation from 41 Iraqi universities across various provinces.

Mosul University achieved a notable artistic accomplishment by winning third place at the festival, represented by its students from the College of Fine Arts, who presented diverse artworks, including painting, sculpture, and ceramics. These works reflected the authenticity of Mosul’s art and the richness of the creative experience at the university.

This achievement is a recognition of the high artistic level demonstrated by Mosul University’s students and its artistic staff, embodying a rich cultural and artistic identity. It also represents a culmination of the university’s ongoing efforts to support the art movement and encourage young talents to engage in creativity and artistic production.

The organizers of the festival, represented by the Student Activities Department in the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, praised Mosul University’s active and distinguished participation. They emphasized that the university’s third-place win reflects its commitment to developing artistic and cultural activities on campus and enhancing the aesthetic taste of its students, in line with the mission of higher education in shaping aware and creative individuals.
