College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering Continues the “Ghiras Al-Rahma” Initiative Toward a Greener University

 

Continuing its efforts to support environmental initiatives, and as part of the “Ghiras Al-Rahma” initiative launched by the presidency of Mosul University, the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering carried out a green campaign on Thursday, November 6, 2025, to plant trees and flowering shrubs in the college’s gardens.

The campaign was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Maen Hasan Abdullah Al-Majed, Dean of the College, in collaboration with the Agricultural Unit in the Administrative Affairs Department and the Media and Government Communications Department at the university presidency.

The initiative saw wide participation from faculty members, staff, and students, embodying the spirit of teamwork and volunteerism, and reinforcing values of belonging and environmental responsibility.

These efforts align with Mosul University’s vision of creating a sustainable campus environment that focuses on expanding green spaces, enhancing the aesthetic beauty of the campus, and supporting the goals of sustainable development and environmental awareness among its staff and students.
