In further promotion of environmental awareness and the reinforcement of the green belt at the University of Mosul, and within the framework of “Ghiras Al-Rahma” Initiative launched by the University Presidency, the College of Engineering organized a green campaign on Monday, November 24, 2025, which included planting various types of trees and plants in its corridors and gardens.
The campaign was implemented by the Agricultural Division of the Department of Administrative (Diwan) Affairs, in cooperation with the Department of Media and Government Communication at the University Presidency.

The event witnessed the participation of Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoun, Dean of the College, along with members of the College Council, as well as a number of staff and students, in a practical demonstration of the importance of collaborative action in enhancing the university environment.

This campaign comes in support of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 13: Climate Action, and Goal 15: Life on Land, and contributes to promoting a culture of volunteer work and strengthening environmental responsibility within the university community.
