The University of Mosul hosted the closing ceremony for the summer training program organized by Asiacell Telecommunications for students from universities across Nineveh Governorate, attended by the Administrative Assistant to the University President, Dr. Rafal Hasan Hamid. The program stands as one of the distinguished initiatives aimed at bridging academic education with real-world practice by providing students with hands-on experience inside a professional telecom work environment.

This year’s program included the participation of 207 male and female students, who were engaged in practical assignments within the company’s technical and administrative departments. The training aimed to enhance their technical and managerial skills and broaden their understanding of operational mechanisms and emerging trends in digital transformation.

Such programs offer an effective model for developing university competencies, granting students early field experience that increases their readiness and competitiveness in the job market by linking theoretical coursework with supervised practical applications delivered by experts and specialists.

The ceremony was also attended by Asiacell’s Regional Director, Mr. Harith Zaki, who expressed his appreciation for the students’ commitment throughout the training period, affirming Asiacell’s dedication to sustaining support and cooperation with universities to help prepare a generation capable of competing in the digital and technological labor market.
