The College of Science Organizes a Course on Smart Nutrition to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals

The Chemistry Department at the College of Science organized a health educational course titled “Smart Nutrition: A Proactive Step for a Better Life,” which ran until November 31, 2025. The course involves several specialists from within the department and college, aiming to introduce the concept of sustainable smart nutrition and its importance in choosing healthy and environmentally-friendly foods, especially in light of the growing prevalence of fast food and processed foods.
The course covered scientific and practical topics, focusing on the role of smart nutrition in improving public health, preventing diseases, and reducing the complications of chronic health conditions. It also emphasized that a balanced diet should not only provide health benefits but also preserve environmental resources and encourage local production.
This course aims to raise community awareness and encourage the adoption of sustainable dietary patterns, contributing to building a society with better health and a higher quality of life.
