The President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, met on Thursday, 27 November 2025, with H.E. Dr. Mohammed Ali Tamim, Minister of Planning, during an official visit to the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad. The meeting came as part of detailed and continuous follow-up on the progress of work for the Third University Campus Project, which is considered one of the largest expansion projects undertaken by the university in recent years.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed the completion rates, approved implementation plans, and mechanisms to ensure that work proceeds according to the specified timelines and in alignment with modern engineering and academic standards. They also emphasized the importance of overcoming potential technical and administrative challenges to ensure that the project is completed with the highest quality and in a way that meets the university’s future needs.

The Third University Campus constitutes a strategic step toward enhancing the University of Mosul’s capacity and developing its educational and research environment. The project aligns with the university’s vision for academic expansion and the provision of facilities and infrastructure capable of keeping pace with rapid scientific and technological advancements.
