University of Mosul Organizes a Major Blood Donation Campaign in Cooperation with the Colleges of Nursing, Science, Veterinary Medicine, and the Mobile Blood Bank

Affirming its humanitarian role and community responsibility, the University of Mosul organized a major blood donation campaign on Sunday, 7 December 2025. The campaign was carried out through joint efforts between the Colleges of Nursing, Science, and Veterinary Medicine, in cooperation with the Mobile Blood Bank Unit, under the slogans:
“350 ml of blood is enough to save four people”
“A drop of your blood means life.”

The event witnessed a wide participation of faculty members, staff, and students, reflecting the university community’s awareness of the importance of humanitarian action and reaffirming the University of Mosul’s commitment to mobilizing its capabilities in service of society. The campaign also aimed at strengthening the values of solidarity, volunteerism, and meeting the needs of patients requiring critical blood types.

This initiative comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to support the health sector and promote a culture of blood donation as a vital humanitarian act that contributes to saving lives. It further enhances students’ sense of social responsibility and highlights the university’s leading role in serving the community and the healthcare sector in Nineveh Governorate.
