College of Agriculture and Forestry Holds a Workshop on Methods of Collecting and Analyzing Field Data

The College of Agriculture and Forestry organized a specialized workshop titled “Methods of Collecting and Analyzing Field Data” on Tuesday, 9 December 2025. The workshop aimed to familiarize researchers and participants with the mechanisms of handling field data, including proper methods for collecting, organizing, and classifying data, in addition to highlighting the most common errors that researchers may encounter during various stages of fieldwork. The sessions also presented the scientific procedures required to address these issues and prepare data for accurate and effective analysis.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of adopting modern scientific approaches in field research, given their significant role in enhancing the quality of studies and increasing their chances of publication in reputable international journals. The lecturers also encouraged the organization of additional sequential workshops in this area due to the broad and complex nature of field data collection and analysis, and the ongoing need to develop researchers’ skills and equip them with advanced methodological tools that cover its diverse aspects.
