The Department of Pharmacology and Medicinal Plants at the College of Pharmacy, University of Mosul, in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning at the University Presidency/Unit for Sustainable Development, organized a field visit to Al-Hadbaa Specialized Hospital. The visit included the participation of a number of pharmacy students, as part of their efforts to support health and humanitarian initiatives for thalassemia patients.

The visit saw the provision of medical supplies to support the treatment services offered to patients, alongside giving students the opportunity to learn about the treatment methods and the regular testing system followed at the hospital. Additionally, an educational lecture was given on thalassemia, aimed at raising health awareness and connecting academic knowledge with practical application. This initiative aligns with the sustainable development goals, particularly those related to good health and well-being, quality education, and fostering partnerships to achieve these goals.
