Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, chaired a broad meeting with the staff of the College of Veterinary Medicine on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jasim, the Assistant of the President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sivan Saad Al-Mahmood, Dean of the College, members of the College Council, and department heads.

The meeting focused on several key issues, with a primary emphasis on scientific research. The President encouraged faculty members to publish in reputable international journals indexed in Scopus and discussed ways to overcome challenges and obstacles that researchers face. He affirmed the university’s commitment to utilizing its resources to support this endeavor. Additionally, he listened to a range of difficulties faced by the college staff and emphasized that addressing these issues is a priority for the university. The goal is to create a supportive university environment for the educational and scientific research process, benefiting all university staff.
