The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning and the Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, organized a student workshop titled “Requirements of Scientific Research: From Idea to Publication” on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. The workshop aimed at supporting students’ scientific activities and enhancing their research skills.

The workshop covered the fundamentals of solid scientific research and its methodological stages, starting with selecting the idea and formulating the research problem, moving on to defining the objectives and hypotheses, choosing the appropriate scientific methodology, and concluding with citation methods and the requirements for publishing in reputable scientific journals. This workshop aims to enhance students’ academic abilities and improve the quality of university education.
