The Center for Dams and Water Resources Research Holds a Training Course on Water Resources Management Software

The Center for Dams and Water Resources Research, in collaboration with the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering at the College of Engineering, organized a training course titled “Introduction to Modern Software for Managing Various Water Resources.” The course began on Sunday, December 21, 2025, and will continue until December 25, 2025, held at the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering’s discussion hall in the College of Engineering, with daily sessions starting at 9:30 AM.
The course aims to introduce the basic scientific concepts for working with simulation programs in water resources engineering, highlighting smart irrigation concepts and the reliability of the data used in this field. The course also covered several specialized software programs for managing dams and reservoirs, including HEC-HMS and WMS software, as well as AutoCAD Civil 3D and its applications in water resources projects. This course is part of a series of scientific activities aimed at keeping up with digital advancements and improving water resources management mechanisms according to modern scientific principles.
