The University of Mosul concluded the Iraqi Universities Volleyball Championship for the Northern Region on Sunday, December 21, 2025, after hosting the competition in the past few days. The final match, which took place on the closing day, saw the University of Mosul team compete against the University of Anbar team, with the University of Mosul securing second place (runner-up) after a heroic performance and fierce competition. The University of Anbar team was crowned as the champion of the tournament, in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd of sports and academic figures filling the sports hall stands.

The championship organizers praised the outstanding organizational success achieved by the University of Mosul in hosting this sports event, which saw wide participation from universities in the northern region. At the conclusion of the event, awards and medals were distributed to the winning teams.
