As part of its efforts to enhance linguistic skills among its students and staff, and to promote openness to global languages, the College of Arts at the University of Mosul has organized a specialized training course in French language for beginners. The course, which began on Monday, December 22, 2025, is designed for students and staff interested in learning French and will continue for four days.

The course aims to introduce participants to the fundamentals of the French language, including the alphabet, verbs, daily vocabulary, grammar, and proper pronunciation. Additionally, it focuses on developing communication skills through training on greetings (both formal and informal), asking simple questions in public spaces, and enhancing listening and speaking skills. The course also includes interactive and applied lectures designed using modern teaching methods, with active participation from trainees in practical activities that contribute to solidifying understanding and comprehension. This initiative is part of a series of courses and workshops organized by the University of Mosul to support the educational journey, promote cultural openness, and develop student potential for the benefit of the university and the community.
