The College of Tourism Sciences, in collaboration with the Human Rights Division at the University of Mosul, organized a workshop titled “Tourism and the Rights of Local Communities” on Sunday, December 21, 2025, as part of its awareness-raising activities on human rights.

The workshop aimed to highlight the relationship between tourism activities and the rights of local communities, as well as to raise awareness on the importance of adopting sustainable and responsible tourism practices. This aligns with human rights principles and the Sustainable Development Goals that the university and college continue to work towards achieving.
