The College of Fine Arts at the University of Mosul, in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Unit, organized a scientific seminar titled “Art and Society: A Reciprocal Influence Towards Progress and Awareness” on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

The seminar aimed to highlight the critical and humanistic role of art in shaping societal awareness and supporting paths of cultural and intellectual progress. It included a review of contemporary artistic models and creative experiences that reflect the reciprocal interaction between art and society, aligning with the goals of sustainable development, particularly quality education, decent work, and the building of sustainable local communities.
