On December 29, 2025, Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, welcomed a delegation from the Fernas Air Club and Nineveh Aviation Academy to discuss mechanisms for joint cooperation and arrangements for hosting a number of events within the university campus. These initiatives aim to bring the experience of aviation and aeronautical sciences to the university environment, offering students the opportunity to engage directly with these specialized scientific and sports fields.

This meeting is part of the university’s efforts to strengthen partnerships with skill-based institutions and academies in Nineveh Governorate. The university president emphasized his commitment to providing the necessary facilities for regularly hosting activities and events within the university, supporting the development of students’ skills and fostering sustainable cooperation to serve the aspirations of the youth of Mosul and its prestigious university.
